Primark Ps Love Skincare

I'm not someone for going out and buying skin care products, other than make up and face wipes. I especially don't go buying expensive products that I know I'll never use and don't want to waste money on products that might not work well with my skin. However, I've always loved everything that Primark sells. I know some people will be biased because It's so cheap but that doesn't mean anything. I have been wanting to try something different to remove my make up, cleanse my face and generally just look after my face. I went into Primark looking for my usual face wipes and new exfoliating gloves and I found these beauties on offer at a £1 each. Obviously I had to try them at that price. I bought the 24 Hour Deep Hydration Cream Cleansing Lotion and the Gentle Eye Make Up Remover from their very own PS Love range.

I have been using both of these every evening when I remove my make up before bed. The eye make up remover is so cleansing and gentle on my skin, I don't just use it on my eyes, I go for the whole face. Using a soft make up removing pad I dab a little bit of the liquid onto the pad and work my way around my face wiping inwards towards my nose to get rid of all the dirt and make up left in my skin.
Before finding this cleanser I had been using the Nivea Extra Gentle Eye Make Up Remover and I found that after every use I had to rinse my face because the liquid made my face feel too greasy, whereas I don't have that problem with the PS Love Cleanser.

After cleansing I go straight into the lotion, doing the same I use a make up removing pad and a small pea sized amount of lotion and work it into my face and neck softly. This is the loveliest face lotion that I've used, after pairing this together when removing make up, I feel like I've just walked out from having a spa facial. The smell is just like the ones used by spa therapists.

I will definitely be looking out for more products in the PS Love Your Skin range.

Can you recommend any good skin care products to use?

Ultra Slim - Update

So it seems that I've been completely forgetting to post about my daily shakes and meals. If I'm honest it is quite a chore having to constantly remember exactly what I've eaten, the exercise and everything else I've been doing to help contribute to my weight loss. I did begin by starting a blog post each morning with what I'd had for breakfast and as I got busier during the day I'd forget to continue with the food diary posts, so I'm take a break with sharing my Ultra Slim diary. When I say I'm taking a break, it only means that I'm going to stop imploding you guys with my tiny posts about what I've eaten each and everyday, Instead I will give you a post about how I'm getting on with my weight loss journey every week or so, or even just when I feel like sharing something with you guys.

Anyway, up to yet I believe (it could be false due to my unpredictable scales) I have lost between 4-6lbs. I know it doesn't seem a lot when I've been doing this for around 2 weeks, however I have been doing very little exercise for personal reasons and due to being busy from work. Though I will be upping my game very soon!

Another reason why I'm pausing the Ultra Slim blog posts is because I'm taking a little trip away! For my 21st Birthday my lovely boyfriend paid for him and I to take a little trip to Rome, I am so excited and yet I've not even properly packed yet and we fly on Sunday morning.. Me being a huge Audrey Hepburn fan, I am going to be the biggest tourist freak in Italy walking around in my shorts and lace up roman sandals, eek! I'm not going to be over indulging myself when we go away however It's a holiday, of course I'm going to enjoy myself some real Italian gelato and pizza, nom! Watch for a spam of food posts over on my twitter coming soon :)

Keep up with me and what I get up to in Rome at..

Ultra Slim Day 9

Breakfast - Vanilla shake with added espresso to keep me going!
Lunch - Apple
Dinner - Jacket potato with baked beans
Snack - Low fat yogurt

After sticking to eating low fat and no crap, just over a week I can now add another 2lb loss to my weight loss. Up to yet I've had a loss of between 4-6lbs since starting the diet and sticking properly. This includes very little exercise may I add, so when I actually regain my motivation to go to the gym, fingers crossed the pounds will shed a bit easier! Up to yet I'm so pleased! May I just add, some people may speculate about my meal choice for today however if you take it upon yourself to look at ingredients and fat contents of the things you eat you'll notice frozen baked potatoes are regularly low in fat, obviously without butter. Baked beans as well are fairly reasonable especially when you choose the low sugar tins.

Hope your enjoying reading about my journey!
Let me know, if your doing his diet too how is it going?

Ultra Slim Day 5

Breakfast - Caramel shake with added espresso to give me a kick of energy for the rest of the day!
I had a pretty busy day and didn't feel hungry enough to snack
Dinner - Roast turkey and pork dinner with roasted veggies

Definitely feeling the difference from being on the Ultra Slim diet. I feel like I have more energy and I feel better about myself. I weighed myself just recently and to be honest, I can't really say how much I've lost up to yet due to the fact our scales are useless! And they tend to change by the slightest of movements. However from Day 1 until today I may have lost 2/4 lbs depending on the mood of the scales. (Lol) even so I think that a 2lb loss in 4/5 days is a good start. I intend on keeping it up!!

Ultra Slim Day 4

Breakfast - Caramel shake with half a banana
Snack - Handful of blackberries
Lunch - Satsuma
Dinner - Roast chicken, brown rice, corn on the cob and veggies

It seems like I've been eating very little but I've barely been hungry enough to want a full shake or eat at all. So that's why I've been nibbling on fruit and veggies throughout the day.

Ultra Slim Day 1

After constantly dieting and losing my battle between food and wanting to lose weight, I've decided I need to up my gain. Just recently I've had a few holidays away where I've eaten whatever and let myself go and now I'm paying the consequences by feeling sluggish, self conscious and just generally fat.

I have tried the Ultra Slim Smoothies before and I've felt better drinking them instead of my usual break fasts and lunch. I would have a smoothie for breakfast, a snack later on if I feel hungry like a yogurt or piece of fruit, a second smoothie for lunch and a healthy balanced meal for dinner. Snacking and sweets are my downfall so removing those will be a good start!

Ultra slim smoothies are powdered drinks which you add fruit juice to, where as the shakes you add milk, I also choose to add extra fruit.

So he's my day 1 entry of the diet. I'm hoping that documenting my journey will show other people it can be as easy as you make it and you don't need to bust your bank to pay for pills and useless shakes to do it. Ultra Slim is a Tesco dupe of the Slim Fast range and also has snacks in the range too. Hopefully keeping up with my blog with encourage me to keep up with my diet as an incentive to lose the weight I want and feel myself again.

Losing weight and maintaining the weight loss comes from healthy eating and exercise. I'm getting myself back into the gym, running and my favorite fitness classes; Zumba and Red Warriors.

This is a very personal thing for me to be documenting, so please respect my choices and take what I say into account.

Day 1

Breakfast - Vanilla Shake

Late morning snack - Apple

Lunch - I didn't fancy the shake so I had a Banana

Dinner - Low Low Grilled chicken and tomato pasta meal with added roasted veggies

Snack - Low fat raspberry Muller yogurt

First Impressions

Getting rid of snacks is hard! Especially when being off work all I want to do is keep looking in the cupboards for munchies. I'm having to keep myself busy and drink plenty of water to keep my mind away from eating. I'm not that bad at snacking really, it's just the choices I make are usually wrong. My first impression of the Vanilla shake was that it is so nice! The nicest vanilla milkshake I've had, after a while I began to get hints of the powder so maybe I didn't shaken it up enough and it reminded me of the taste of cake mix, but no complaints I'd happily enjoy it again maybe with some added banana next time. Me and my mum and doing the Ultra Slim diet together, which is brilliant as we can both help each other and share preparing our meals. We have a variety of the 'Low Low' low fat frozen meal which range from around less than 300 calories to 600 calories per meal. Simple and easy meals very useful for dieting, we also like to add extra veggies or salad. I really enjoyed my pasta meal though it hadn't much pasta sauce, there was plenty of hidden tomatoes and yummy chicken pieces. No complaints again.

I'd like to mention during this diet, although I call it a diet it is more of a lifestyle change for me to be eating better and cutting our crap. I will not be weighing myself or taking measurements unless I feel the need to throw myself on the scales at the gym. I prefer the idea of seeing myself differently in the mirror and not only seeing but feeling that the change is making a different to me on the inside and my body on the outside. Up to yet, I feel so much less jelly-fied in the mornings and more toned.

Til next time,
