Homemade Blueberry Bodyscrub

Since getting into blogging and internet-ing more, if that's a thing? I've began to love bath products much more, as you'll see from my post about Bomb Cosmetics. Anyway, I've seen a few posts and recipes on how to make body scrub and I've wanted to make my own. Not only to understand how its made but just to get creative because I love making things. I read up on some more recipes on the best ingredients to use so while I had some spare time I thought I'd make a little batch. It is little, I didn't make a lot because it was kind of just a practise run, so when I have more time to experiment ingredients and products, I'll do another post and let you know how good it works.

To make my body scrub you will need;

1 Jar or Container

You can get jars like these from most supermarket, or you could even use an old jam jar or unused candle and make sure it's well cleaned out before you use it.

Some Soft Brown Sugar

Any oil of your choice.
You could choose from almond oil, coconut oil, baby oil etc. It can be any kind of body oil which is good for your skin and won't give you any bad reactions. I chose this Morrison's Little Big Baby Oil because it's kind to skin and also makes you feel super soft.

To make my Body Scrub a little different I then added a handful of blended blueberries.
It works best if you add a little squirt of oil into the mixture when you're blending.

Mix up a cup full of Soft Brown Sugar into a bowl with your blended blueberries.
Once mixed well, you need to add some of your essential oils. I used just over a table spoon for my amount, if you use too much oil just add a little bit more sugar to match it up.

And your result should look something like this! It doesn't look like much, but it smells super fresh and will keep your skin baby soft!

Don't forget to add it to your jar, to keep it stored nicely and enjoy!

If you make any other Body Scrub, Salt Scrubs or any body products let me know!
Any ideas and suggestions are always welcome, let me know what you think of this recipe!

Sunday Afternoon at the Park

I love wintery Sunday walks. This afternoon we took my niece Crimson for a little walk to the park near us.

Obviously I had to have a go on the park as well..

I hope you've all had a lovely Sunday, whatever it is you've been up to!
Leave me any comments or questions about my outfit in the comments.

Bomb Cosmetics

All of a sudden after this Christmas I think everyone has gone a bit bath bomb crazy. I think it's been one of those years where all girls get a certain something in particular for Christmas and it turns into a big craze. I'm talking your selfie stick, bath bombs and Pandora jewellery. There's no shame in that, I definitely had all three.
Me and my mum are big lovers of 'smellies' and bath sets, so for Christmas I bought my mum a few different bath items from a little shabby chic shop in my area which sell the cutest bath bombs ever! These are by Bomb Cosmetics. They also sell face and body cosmetics, homemade soaps, homemade fragrances and more. What I love about these, they aren't actually called bath bombs like the usual. The one I am featuring in this post is called Fairytale Fantasy Bath Blaster. This is super pretty and kind of looks like a cupcake, mainly the reason I bought it. The Blaster has a beautiful floral scent and leaves your bath water looking pretty and pink.

It literally looks like a cupcake with frosting and an edible flower on top! But don't let it fault you, you mustn't eat it no matter how good it looks.

The Fairytale Fantasy Bath Blaster has natural butters and essential Rosemary and Cedarwood oils. You drop it straight into your bath and watch it fizz while the beautiful scents fill your bathroom.

To make my bath look even more pretty I then added some Blueberry Jelly Belly Bath Confetti which looks like little purple leaves from a flower. These dissolve nicely into your bath and work well to wash yourself with.

The other Bomb Cosmetics product I have used is the Rosie Heart Creamer, which is a small kind of bath fizzer which makes your bath feel super creamy and smell like flowers. The Bath Creamer is filled with Moroccan Rose Petals, essential oils and perfumes. I haven't had chance to take photos of this one as It's already been used, so that gives me excuse to buy more so that I can show you how pretty they are.

Bath time is one of my favourite ways to relax and unwind and I love the excitement of watching different bath products fizz and the scents they give you. I can never bath without bubbles or something that smells nice.

Let me know if you have any favourite bath essentials and what you think to these beauties!
