DIY Pom Pom Keyring

Pom Pom Keyrings seem to be a must have accessorie this season, especially with high end and named handbags. I've looked in all the high street shops and online for the perfect Pom Pom for my Michael Kors bag and struggled to find a colour that I really liked and would go well with my cream bag. So one day I stumbled upon the new Christmas section in The Range. Yes, Christmas already! But oh my word there is some super cute decorations this year and I cannot wait to decorate. Anyway, I found a Pom Pom tree decoration and loved it instantly. At £1.09 I couldn't resist it so I decided I'd make my own Pom Pom Keyring.

The Pom Pom I chose is a fawn-ish tan colour, like a woodland creature. It looks perfect with my cream bag and it's even better to know that it's unique to the others on the high street.

All I did was attach an unwanted Keyring onto the bauble eyelet and left the little gold string (which is used for hanging on the tree) to give it a little more chic. And that's all that I did! Simply clicked it onto my bag and it looks just as good as those in the high street shops. For less than £2, anyone can make this!

Pom Pom is from The Range
Keyring is an unused ring from an old chain

Hope you enjoyed this read! Have you made any of your own accessories?

Gothic Halloween Inspired Nails

Halloween is one of my favourites times of the year and I usually like to do a full set of different Halloween inspired nail art, but this year I've decided to try something different. I've seen a few people around wearing the heat changing nail polish where the colour of the polish dries one colour and the tips of nails changing colours when temperature in the fingers changes and gives a sort of gradient effect. So I thought why not try to recreate the look and give it a sort of gothic/halloweeny vibe.

This is how I did it..

I began with my fresh acrylics, I did these myself with a clear gel and a silver glitter gel on each ring finger.

The 2 colours I chose for the gradient effect were Models Own polishes; Black Magic and Red Alert.
I began with the Boots Essentials base coat to ensure that none of the colours stain the gel on my nails.

Once the base coat was all dry and prepared, I neatly stick sellotape around my nails and the cuticle area to ensure there is no excess polish getting onto my skin. I applied the red polish evenly to my nails skipping the glitter nail after this has fully dried I then applied a generous of the black polish onto a plain bathroom sponge, I find that it makes it using a smaller sponge so that it fits around the size of my nail. I usually use a scourer sponge and cut it into lengths of smaller pieces. When I've applied the black polish onto the end of the sponge I lightly dab the nail from the middle of the nail to the tip, dabbing lighter in the middle and gradually harder towards the tip to create a darker colour.

After the nails have dried, the effect of the sponge can create a sort of grit like texture but that's nothing to worry about, so I go straight ahead with a Matte top coat to enhance the grudge look. And here's my finished look.

And here is last years Halloween nail art..

I hope you've enjoyed reading how to create this nail look! Did you try it out?
Let me see your Halloween nails, I'd love to see!

Tatersaurus is back!

Hey guys, it seems quite weird writing a post like this, but I felt I need to after not posting anything for so long, I didn't want to just come straight out with a new post. Right now it's like 2 months. I thought I'd just firstly apologise and also let you know where I've been.

So I think the last time I blogged, It was my new skincare products and also before that Matthew and I were about to go on a little trip to Rome. I'm still yet to post about my Roman Holiday and I definitely will do as I have so many photos to share! So since then, I've been busy with just general life and haven't had much time to myself to sit with my laptop and just ramble about things I'm loving ect. I've also began a second job. As some of you may already know, I have joined two supply teaching agencies to help me to gain experience, skills and hopefully bag myself a new permanent job in childcare. I've been to a full schools already and at the start of September I was offered a long term position every Wednesday in a nursery local to me. So as well as working at Sainsburys part time, I will also be working in the nursery. Little difficult I must say with my shifts already but it could be worse and this is the start of a new career for me. As of yet I am really enjoying my time in the nursery, the children are so sweet and adorable I would definitely recommend working with children to anyone, they definitely bring a smile to my face every week.

I have a few days to myself coming up and I'm hoping to get back into the swing of things with blogging and have motivated myself with a list of blog post ideas. A few people have asked me how things are going with my blog and why I haven't posted in a while and it's really made me realise how many unknown people actually take the time to read my posts, and I'm flattered to hear that people are missing them. If you ever have any ideas for me for blog posts or have any questions or comments please please don't hesitate to speak to me, hearing that people enjoy my blog really brightens my day to know that something I am doing is appreciated and enjoyed by others.

Thankyou everyone who reads my posts, Big loves to you all!
